A space where I'm learning to slow down, care for myself, and choose things that feel good for my mind and body. This year has been about listening to what I need, creating gentler routines, and creating healthier habits.
Reading Lists
Ranking What I've Read This Year
- The Emotional Brain by Dean Burnett
- The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
- The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson
- The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
- The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins
Looking back at everything I've read this year feels like flipping through little snapshots of my own mind. Each book showed up at the exact moment I needed it — some grounding me, some pulling me out of myself, and some just letting me wander somewhere beautiful for a while. It's been a gentle mix of learning, escaping, and feeling a little too deeply, and I love seeing how each story left its own small mark on me.
December Reading List
- The Fog by Stephen King
- The Midnight Library by Matt Haig
- Normal People by Sally Rooney
I wanted a mix of eerie, reflective, and emotional to match the December mood. A little suspense, a little soul-searching, and a story that hits way too close to home. I'm excited to see how each one shifts my mindset as the year winds down.
Crochet
Sharing the most recent pattern I've been working on — all cozy, all perfect for this winter season
Snowberry Blanket Pattern
What You'll Need:
- 5.0mm crochet hook
- Pink acrylic yarn, ~700 yards
- Red acrylic yarn, ~400 yards
- White acrylic yarn, ~800 yards
- Yarn needle
- Stitch markers
- Scissors
Pattern:
- Chain foundation: Chain a multiple of 20 + 2 for your desired width (e.g., 122 for a medium throw).
- Row 1: Single crochet (SC) in the 2nd chain from hook and across. Turn.
- Row 2-5: SC in each stitch. Change color every 2-4 rows to make stripes: pink → red → white → repeat.
- Repeat: Continue SC rows and changing colors until blanket reaches desired length.
- Border (optional): Once finished, SC evenly around the entire blanket in one color for a clean edge.
- Finish: Weave in all ends with yarn needle.
